Gjorgi Kukuvikov
Gjorgi is a creative problem solver with more than 17 years of experience working as a High Voltage Troubleshooter specializing in transmission and distribution. Throughout his career, Gjorgi has developed a broad range of high-level skills in Electrical Contracting, the Theory of Constraints methodology, and M&A, to name a few. During my tenured career with Consolidated Edison, Gjorgi had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most skilled and talented professionals in the Electrical field, where we focused heavily on the design, installation, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems.
Gjorgi’s unending desire for continuous growth and self-improvement has positioned me with the knowledge and a deep understanding involving M&A, strategic advisory, fundraising, and restructuring. I am drawn to M&A because it can allow enterprises to grow and change the nature of their business or help gain a competitive edge.
With a proven track record of a successful team and critical chain project management from the early phase to series development and an innate drive to continuously improve existing electrical solutions through new out-of-the-box approaches. I have successfully leveraged a sound understanding of key business drivers across various industries to enrich client interaction and help formulate business strategies. I enjoy driving transformative change and working well with people from diverse global backgrounds.
David G DeFreitas

Dave DeFreitas is a high-impact leader with expertise in business leadership and
financial management. He excels at collaborative leadership and his ability to position companies, employees, and customers for success has been proven repeatedly.
Experienced in dynamic markets and diverse environments, he has been integral to several multi-million-dollar gains and is skilled at turning analytical findings into transformative actions.
After starting in auditing in public accounting, Dave joined Caterpillar Inc, where he held
18 roles in over 32 years. His title history includes Group CFO for Corporate Services,
Division CFO for Product Support, Controller (Americas) for Caterpillar Financial
Services, Investment Director for Energy & Transportation, Managing Director for
Telehandlers, Corporate Director of Activity Based Costing, and Corporate Business
Analysis Project Manager. He has global experience, including working in the UK for several years.
Dave chairs the National Council of Advisors to the College of Business at Bradley University and is past Chair and current Emeritus Member of the Department of
Accounting Advisory Council at Bradley. He is a member of the Bradley University Braves Club Board, and in 2018, Dave received the Lydia Moss Bradley Award for outstanding contributions as a Bradley alumnus. He is a member of Indiana University’s
Accounting Advisory Board and is a member of the Central Illinois Easter Seals Foundation Board of Trustees. In 2015, Dave was recognized as the National Business & Information professional of the year by the National Beta Alpha Psi Accounting honors fraternity. Dave has also co-authored two articles published in professional finance and accounting magazines.
Ephraim Starr
Non-Executive Counsel
After graduating from Amherst College with degrees in English and Physics and receiving his JD with high distinction from Duke University School of Law, Ephraim began his career in private practice with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, a firm ranked World #1 by Am Law, focusing on business and intellectual property litigation. He also held executive positions at Honeywell, Lenovo, Danaher, and PHC Holdings, where he spearheaded the transformation of legal departments and legal operations for businesses with annual sales ranging from $50M to $4.5B. In these roles, he had a reputation for a superb client touch, humility, self-awareness, judgment, and trustworthiness.
He earned top leadership awards for his work in intellectual property and dispute resolution at Honeywell and in environmental health and safety at Danaher. While Ephraim has handled essentially every legal issue under the sun, the subjects he most frequently managed as a business general counsel were contracts; intellectual property (primarily patents, trademarks, and trade secrets); dispute resolution (amicable and through litigation); mergers & acquisitions; employment (separations, internal investigations, and other HR issues); regulatory compliance (FDA, FCC, OHSA, SEC, FCPA, etc.); legal operations; and leadership (prioritization, mentorship, and career development for other legal professionals). He has been responsible for $100M litigations, 1,000-patent IP portfolios, critical aspects of $1B acquisitions, contracts and related processes for businesses with over 100,000 transactions per year, and teams of more than 50 professionals. Ephraim is also the father of a charismatic young man with autism, and through his experience raising him and looking after his interests, has gained expertise navigating legal rights in the education system.
Ephraim resides in Evergreen, Colorado with his wife and 3 children. He currently works as a business transformation consultant with Lean Focus LLC and as the sole proprietor of Ephraim Starr, pllc, a law practice dedicated to solving its clients’ legal problems pragmatically, with judgment informed by what matters to the most.
Edwin G. Cooke
Non-Executive Financial Director
Mr. Cooke is an Executive Extraordinaire and is a wizard at acquisitions. Cooke has held several executive positions with Lehigh Hanson and predecessor companies from 1979 to 2010, including serving from 2001 to 2008 as the Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of the Mideast Region, where he was responsible for over sixty construction
material operations in seven states.
Prior to that, Mr. Cooke served as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for multiple Lehigh Hanson Construction subsidiary companies. Cooke led multiple acquisition teams
during his time with Lehigh Hanson and led the accounting integration team with the consolidation of the North American Lehigh accounting into the Hanson shared services Recently, Cooke served as CFO, Controller, and Finance Manager in a few other companies where he put his Executive and acquisition skills to work growing their bottom line.
Mr. Cooke attended the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. He holds the CPA and CGMA designations from the AICPA.
Louis J. Weiss
Non-Executive Operations Director
With Over 45 years of continuous construction-related experience, former president of $40,000,000 a year New Jersey construction-related firm, Mr. Weiss has been involved in numerous projects in PA, NY, NJ, and RI. These projects ranged from small to large residential, many religious synagogues, pharmaceutical, healthcare, entertainment, government, maritime, data centers, telecommunications, parochial and public schools as well as multimillion-dollar corporate facilities. He has been closely involved in local and national government affairs, local and national trade associations, etc. The many associations have brought him closer to the individuals that pay a large part in the final stage and satisfactory completion of many projects. The many years of experience and positive relationships with inspectors, officials, and utilities have proven to be very helpful in getting what may be a long turnaround to quick positive actions. Due to the many disciplines involved in the construction industry, his work with all the trades and coordination was a MUST! His extensive operations and construction management expertise have proven leadership competencies in the construction management, real-estate development arenas.
Chris Heise
Non-Executive Operations Director

A career dedicated to operations in one form or another. Chris was raised in a family business. This commercial electrical contracting company is where he learned the industry from the ground up, literally. Upon passing the Journeymen then Master electrician’s exam, then Chris became a certified unlimited electrical contractor for SC.
During this time, He attended the University of SC, graduating in 98 with an Electrical Engineering degree.
In 2004, the family business was sold. At that point, Chris went to work at Schneider Electric where his knowledge of this great industry expanded even more. He has now gone from end-user to sales operations, to manufacturing, to services. This gives Chris a unique perspective on most situations.
Specialties: Project Management, planning, and manufacturing processes. Operations
and Execution of all kinds (sales, services, internal process improvements, etc). Specific focus on financial forecasting & cost controls.
